Nakamichi CA5 Pre Amp

I purchased this approx 10 years ago and it’s been my pre amp ever since. Its reputation for having an amazing phono stage is well deserved. 
 

having just received my ME750 Ive decided to sell a few items to try and fund a few projects like new headphones, krakens and eventually an ME pre amp.

 

I believe it’s fair to call this mint given it’s age but perhaps some slight deterioration in colour could have occurred - hard to tell without having a new one next to it.

 

I will post anywhere in Australia at the agreed price. I do not have original box or manual but will pack extremely well and insure.

 

it has worked perfectly for me and I have never had it serviced or checked. It works perfectly with the ME750 however I’m reliably informed I will gain significant audio benefits from going to an ME pre amp.

 

happy to post links to reviews etc if you want to better understand what is on offer but I think most considering this will appreciate and know its reputation. Pls just PM me.
 

I will say this is the original and the best (ie not the ii - so pure Nelson Pass design as I understand)

 

lastly preference will be given to a long term local SNA member so audition and inspection can be undertaken. I hope that is appreciated by anyone interstate.

Wow. Really great photos and just a superb listing . It is a model of how it should be done.

 

Really like the pre amplifier too ( hand over heart, I am surprised that the ME pre would be a lot better ) and I would be tempted by this if I could find the matching power amplifier.

Good luck with the sale.  Someone is going to get lucky, this is a nuts cheap price for such a stellar preamp.  No-one is buying mine any time soon.
