mobydick Posted October 2, 2022 Posted October 2, 2022 Further Information: Excellent condition. I've owned it for about 3 years. No dings or scratches etc. I've upgraded my phono preamp so I no longer need this. I started out using this with a moving magnet iron cartridge (on the MM input) and then later with an MC cartridge. I recently bought a Kiseki cartridge and decided it was worthy of a more expensive phono preamp, so I bought a Gold Note PH-10. I'd like to get the separate power supply so sale of the Avid Pellar will help with that. The Pellar is an excellent sounding phono stage and very flexible. MC loading is achieved by inserting RCA plugs with different values. A pair off 500 Ohm plugs is included. Other values are available from Avid (for about $200 a pair!) or make your own. I have been using a pair of RCA plugs that allow me to easily use any value of resistor, which are also included. The Pellar doesn't use a wall-wart - a regular power cord will also be included. https://www.tonepublications.com/review/review-the-avid-pellar-phonostage/ https://theaudiophileman.com/pellar-avid-phono-amplifier-review/ https://addictedtoaudio.com.au/products/avid-pellar-phono-stage
