Can I give a shoutout to using auto ring-type electrical connectors.  They are copper with a zink coating and have the advantage of low mass.

yep, once crimped properly it won’t slip out and makes good contact.  not sure if i have heard a difference but it

wont come off and accidentally short the amp.

i use the O rings that have a 10mm hole BUT forced to use banana plugs on the amp side of my cables as some of my amps have those terminals that don’t screw off to fit the O ring.

i wouldn’t recommend cutting the O ring so it can work like a spade to anyone with heavy cables as the thin O ring can bend.

They "look" very similar to the EGM Audio product but a massive price difference.........$119 for 8 in Gold or Rhodium. Not sure if the SONIC ART "The Bullet" CGP Connector ($39 for 4) has been given a nod but if you are looking at banana plugs these are top drawer connectors.

Not too sure about the Ebay products and their durability over time.......I much prefer the z-plug design in banana connectors.

Thanks Ian I thought there might have been a lot of superfluous stuff in the link but didn't know how to trim it.

Interesting thanks.  Are the Sonis Art spades alos recommended?

The Sonic Art spades (silver alloy) at $30 for 4 are incredible value for money. They attach using two grub screws so are very easy to use in DIY projects.

Sonic Art spades can be soldered easily too, and you can file out the jaws wider if needed. The shell banana plugs are the bees knees though.

I cannot imagine those ebay plugs are copper, who would stick nickel & chrome over copper, horrible! Likely brass chrome plated, couldnt think of a worse connector.
