Scotsgrey Posted November 5, 2022 Posted November 5, 2022 In Australia, Nubert is vastly unknown, being a German manufacturer who retails directly to the customer and they have a cult following. To my knowledge this is the only pair available in the country and I’ve acquired them from a German fellow who brought them over. I had to have a pair after I listened to the smaller model at a friends place years ago and couldn’t believe my ears. I think dollar versus sound the one I’ve listed must be the value that I’ve encountered. There are numerous raving reviews out there, most of them in German unfortunately. They‘ve retailed for EUR400 a pair and outmatched any other speaker at the time for value and build quality. Please find the specs attached. I will regret selling these. I found them highly enjoyable for any type of music that requires a good bass foundation. They absolutely love to rock until the neighbors want to join in and they’re great for Jazz and Electronic , too. However, in the company of my other speakers, they’re rarely getting used (plus I just bought another pair of Elacs here….. what is it with Germans and me?). By the way, the Tweeter is adjustable by the flick of a switch on the terminal. If there’s one thing I could fault them in, it would be the depth of the soundstage and separation of instruments. However, this is compared to speakers more than 5 times their original price. Happy to demonstrate these for the curious buyer and would prefer pick up (however shipping is offered). If there’s no interest, I‘d be still happy to keep them and can proof to my wife that I‘ve tried everything to free up the space! Happy to answer any questions.
