075Congo Posted December 6, 2022 Posted December 6, 2022 Been doing some sniffing around a small company in Scotland called Signal Ground Solutions. In particular they make "bespoke" grounding boxes and grounding cables. They do have a local distributor LUX AUDIO but I ended up emailing directly with Andrew Bairstow at SGS in Scotland. Always found the info on grounding a bit confusing.....but not this time. Andrew wanted details on my system and came back at me with the SGS 1 Signature grounding box and two grounding cables. I tried to go cheap with the introductory SGS 1 box but the answer was NO! Fair enough. Pricewise at least $700 cheaper than an ENTREQ option and way cheaper than a TELOS arrangement. International shipping about 60 Pounds Sterling. International buyers pay no VAT. I put my order in this morning and gave PayPal a hammer. SGS has an enormous range of grounding box options and ground cabling. The bespoke timber boxes they create are stunning and its worth drooling through their website. A new small company specialising in ground devices.........great communication.....good luck to them.
075Congo Posted December 12, 2022 Author Posted December 12, 2022 SGS 1 Signature coming by Royal Mail International. Posted 12 December .Delivery 19 December. Estimated. Tracking number provided with 24 hour updates sent to my email.

Plasmod3 Posted December 13, 2022 Posted December 13, 2022 Ah i dont think anyone is to blame here. I just dont like doing the hard work and at the end of the day not having the manufacturer look after me.. I have bought his top models , he uses photos of my show room on his website and yet strangely thinks that it is ok to do what was done. I wont argue...but i will walk away:-) that being the easy and gentlemanly thing to do here.:-) 1
075Congo Posted December 13, 2022 Author Posted December 13, 2022 Emailed Lux Audio with general enquiry re SGS products on December 5 at 10.35 am.........no response to my email since that date. Checked my spam etc........My next actions to contact SCG in Scotland were motivated by that non-response.

MTL Posted December 13, 2022 Posted December 13, 2022 Still does not exonerate the manufacturer , who should have pointed out that there was a local distributor 2
Plasmod3 Posted December 13, 2022 Posted December 13, 2022 Hmm odd. I did reply as per screenshot but never heard back. All good though Mick. Enjoy the SGS:) 1

Plasmod3 Posted December 13, 2022 Posted December 13, 2022 All good:) main thing is to enjoy the audio:) so I am glad someone got a sgs unit. I, have played with a lot of grounding units in the past. Even had a troy NG which is widely regarded as the rolls Royce of grounding. While the standard troy is up to par to the pinnacle that I have. The troy NG is way beyond. I am also in line to get the new shunyata grounding units. Those will IMHO beat everything else out there period:) esp when combined with an Everest subunit. 1
Plasmod3 Posted December 13, 2022 Posted December 13, 2022 Grounding is not as simple as just connecting a cable to a ground box. There is a lot of learning and depth to it. Not all combinations improve the sound:) it took me the best of 1 yr to fully master it using all the combinations I had at my disposal. My system has about 10 ground cables and they all had to be connected differently to be most effective.
075Congo Posted December 13, 2022 Author Posted December 13, 2022 The only good thing to come out of this mess is that I followed the advice of the SGS designer in Scotland to buy the SGS 1 Signature . Not the SGS 3 grounding box recommended by Lux Audio ,which costs 2200 Pounds Sterling more than the SGS 1 Signature. I have been informed by SGS in Scotland that online sales from them are restricted to the SGS1 and the SGS1 Signature models.

075Congo Posted December 13, 2022 Author Posted December 13, 2022 I am not insinuating anything re LUX AUDIO.........I followed the only advice I was offered from Scotland and selected a far cheaper SGS Grounding box option. That's it!

075Congo Posted January 29, 2023 Author Posted January 29, 2023 Signal Ground Solutions in Scotland have revised their website to provide more effective descriptions of their products. SGS now send their products directly from their factory worldwide. The SGS 1 and SGS 1 Signature incur an additional shipping fee but all higher models have free shipping included. My SGS 1 Signature was delivered in 14 days using an Express International service. I have connected both my audio components currently using signal ground not chassis grounding and am very pleased with that option. In the range of available grounding options SGS is well worth investigating.
