Further Information

Mint condition enclosures in a rich and luxurious red tinted real walnut veneer.
Fully rebuilt and silver solder hardwired crossovers with Mundorf caps, MOX resistors and factory inductors.
Full new cable loom using Nordost Super Flatline Gold.

Brand new alloy frame Aerogel midrange drivers from Audax (new version of the factory drivers which had plastic frames and issues with weeping cones and corrosion of wires).

Tri-wire connections on the rear.

Billet alloy outrigger legs for added stability.
Multi-cavity, heavy, CLD treated, CNC machined, folded enclosures.

Consulted personally on this work with original designer of this model, Peter Commeau.
Cost of all parts is close to $1900 on top of that for the original speakers.

All work well documented here:

The rebuild resulted in a very substantial improvement over the standard speakers and compared very favorably indeed to similar sized Spendor and Castle models costing over double the asking price of these. These were used very briefly in my large living space (2.8 ceilings and 9m x 5m room) and produced a positively huge sound stage with significant improvements in detail, transparency and depth over the original 782 (I used to retail these speakers back in the early ‘00’s). These don’t even have 5 hours music through them since completing this work. So they’re not even run in yet and have since been in storage.

No boxes but I live close to Pack’n’Send and will work with them and the buyer to make sure these arrive safely at their new home.

FREIGHT VIA PACK’N’SEND TO MAJOR EASTERN STATE CITIES IS INCLUDED IN THE ASKING PRICE. Regional towns and west by negotiation.

These were a dream build for me but they’re just not being used now and the funds will be put to good use elsewhere in my main system.

They are a REALLY good looking speaker.  ( I noticed in your building post that at one stage you were thinking of painting them black..............    please don't do this as the Rosewood is absolutely superb IMO .... I restored quite a bit of antique and vintage furniture in my time and I think Rosewood is one of the most gorgeous timbers....... and also very rare now )

.......   and with those upgrades ( nice job ) , I'm sure they sound Devine. ........GLWTS

thank you and yes, the red stain looks beautiful in the flesh.
This is one of these situations where regret is one of the emotions that comes through this selling process but, the desire to upgrade elsewhere while staying cost-neutral is never ending.
