feels like a Wagner day today. 

 

Love this recording. Such a cast: Vickers, Janowitz, Talvela and Karajan...

My favourite pressing of the Arpeggione.

Just changed to the Decca London curve on the phono, it sounds even better to my ears.

That is the reference recording for sure. Another very nice recording here by Enrico Mainardi and Guido Borciani.

Sure is. I bought his reissue on the bach cello suites but haven't got time to open yet...

continuing on with the opera theme...

 

have not heard this but I am a huge fan of Simon O'Neil.  It is off to a great start.
