Alfred Brendel - Liszt: Annees de Pelerinage 1ere annee,  et al

Disc number 79.  For $3.06 per disc I must say the purchase of this collection seems in hindsight quite prudent.

Now I am in the "what percentage of the discs have i listened to and was it really all that worthwhile?" mode.  The answer is clearly yes, but from the percentage perspective I am mindful that I have not been bothering the scorers nearly enough to be truly maximising enjoyment :)

Fitzwilliam String Quartet - Shostakovich: Last Three String Quartets

A recording marking the 50th anniversary of their first release of the full Shostakovich string quartet cycle.  Apparently they were the first group to perform the last three in "the West", and the first quartet to perform and record all fifteen.

Don't be too hard on your self, whether it be the Beatles or Beethoven, many people don't get past the first 2 or 3 discs in the average large box set!
