hired goon Posted April 16, 2023 Posted April 16, 2023 Dan Tepfer - Goldberg Variations / Variations -- a jazz pianist tackles Johann's work and adds improvisations between each variation. You'd think this would be modernized a la Jacques Loussier Trio but the work is played reverently and the improvisations blend in very well with nary a hint of swing. Noice. There's a new album tackling the inventions in a similar manner. Streaming via the spotifies. --Geoff 3
