Further Information: 

 

Made by Mark on the forum this is a class AB chip amp with ~100W per channel. Beautifully made with a nice bounce and excellent bass. I was using this paired to a Yamaha WXC but have simplified to a Yamaha WXA which has an inbuilt amplifier so no longer required. Links to Mark's blog and original listing for more info.

Good morning thejt.

 

Im currently looking at a power amp, but don't really know much about class A/B design or chip amps.

 

Basically I'd be running SET tube pre amp in front of it, speaker would be ascension summoners 180 watt 6 ohm, 91 DB sensitivity.

 

Just wandering if this would be a bit a bit under powered to drive these speakers well?

 

I'm also thinking i might pick marks brain regarding this.
