Hi guys,

I'm trying to setup Foobar2000 on the new laptop to look exactly like how it is on the old laptop, and I've spent the last hour with both laptops side by side going through settings, and I can't find how to configure all artists in 1 window on the left side and the Library Viewer Selection on the right like this

On the new laptop I can only see the "Library Viewer Selection" and not the window on the left with "All Music", then each artist underneath as per below:

I can't work out how to show the "All Music" window on the left in the top screenshot :(

It's driving me nuts - any help greatly appreciated.

cheers

Mike

Change your Media Library location to the folder with all your music in it. Then it will show as All Music. Then you can show it how you want, by Artist, etc down the bottom.

that's currently where Foobar is pointing

I could move the music to a new folder, but I don't think the Foobar interface will change without a change made within Foobar

cheers,

I'm done with Foobar2000 - JRMC was up and running with a drivable interface in <5min.

I just need to recover the license from the old laptop.

While I was a fan for many years, the complicated and difficult ways to set up Foobar drove me nuts.  I ended up picking one of the standard ones.  😢

Hopefully, you do not need to upgrade your version of JRiver.  But if you have to, then please have a look at LMS (Logitech Media Server) as well.  It is free and continues to be updated.
