Hi all the experts, would you know any carbon brush that doesn't leave bristle behind?

Have 2 of these, one from Pro-ject and one from May Records. but both leave too much bristle once used on vinyl.

Do you guys know any carbon brush that doesn't leave any bristle or any other alternative?

I am only using it to dust off the dust not for static, for that, I use an Arc lighter

Thanks.

I've got two that are decades old, at least. One is a Gemini and the other an unlabelled cheapie, neither of which has ever shed.

What I have noticed is that after cleaning my LPs with an ultrasonic cleaner they just don't seem to get dusty. I hardly ever get anything on the sonic stylus cleaner at all, even after multiple sides.

I have never had a carbon brush do that, not even the cheap ones.

I use this one now

Yeah, I got an ebay cheapie and have never seen a shed bristle ever....it does a fine job. Having said that, I've always liked the concept of the Audioquest one recommended by @Hydrology, with it's anti static finger contact points on the handle.👍

I still use my DECCA brush - and it’s gotta be at least 40 years old

With over 1 million conductive bristles- that was the advert slogan that got me to buy it 😎

I had a couple then went to a ursa major and am very happy.  It's effective, large, and build quality is excellent.

Looks to be a superior design with the several rows to trap dust, might have to check one out! :thumb:

The velvet and carbon brush combination types do a better job of picking up the loose dust.
