Further Information: I purchased these recently off another member to try out monitor speakers as my room is small.  My room is treated and sort of the next size up will work best for me, so I'm selling these to upgrade.  There are so many positive reviews on the 30.2's / 30.1's / XD's so I don't want to go into the sound but will say the presentation is beautiful, and for anyone who hasn’t heard Harbeths they are not slow and sluggish, but sound is more natural and accurate than they look. They are designed to have their speaker covers on as you get the warm lushness, but also sound nice with them off, being more neutral and clearer.  These speakers are easy to drive, I recommend a 15-30w tube amp depending on your room size, or an 80w ss amp, and of course they like more power too.  These speakers are in excellent/mint condition, they were first bought in 2020, the stands are included.  I have the original boxes for both the speakers and stands.

The eucalyptus certainly gives these a sumptuous finish. A thoughtful version of the BBC LS5/9’s which I’ve tried with 60W tubes (in pure class A) with excellent results. Have you tried them with lower powered valves as you suggest?
