Trad Posted March 11, 2023 Posted March 11, 2023 (edited) Price dropped to move these on. 166ESR speakers in specifically designed, back-loaded horn cabinets exceptionally crafted from 18mm birch ply by Aranmar Acoustics. The Fostex drivers were a special edition released in Japan with a small batch made available to the international market. This pair was purchased in Japan. The frequency response is ruler flat and efficiency is at 95.5dB/w/m. The 145mm lanthanum-cobalt magnet is a mouth watering beast, coupled with copper-silver alloy voice coil. These are beautiful looking and sounding speakers and are a very reluctant sale. Whilst the full range drivers and back loaded horn enclosures are preferably sold as one, these enclosure’s are a work of art and would work beautifully with other drivers.
