Further Information

One of the classics. Sounds fantastic, reliable and amazing value for money even at it's original RRP close to double the asking.

I actually owned 2 of these (one as headphone amp and one as pre-amp) but I need to free up funds for another purchase.

Below are comments from other SNA members regarding this headphone amp/pre-amp.

I've had this for about a year. Has been well loved and made me love my headphones so much more. At this price, you'll be hard pressed to find anything that will come close to it.

Works well with so much gear - from top end hps to moderate ones, and has a lot of power

It seriously is a beauty and great bang for buck - for me, IMHO, one of the real bargains in this hobby

Equally great results are on tap with all the other phones in my collection; there is nothing that the Taurus can’t drive with aplomb, making it a perfect reference amplifier for those with a large headphone collection (or for those considering expanding their current collection). My other reference phones, the Audeze LCD2s, work equally well with the Taurus, serving up a massive inner-head soundstage, with sound floating all around my head in a pleasantly trippy manner.
Really good choice for drive big headphone. Great power and well design balance in & out.

This is a fantastic headphone amplifier, arguably the best you can get in this price range. I have used it with everything from sensitive ciems to demanding planar magnetics. It drives everything with authority and incredible resolution, all without glare or fatigue. I'm reluctant to let it go, but I need the funds for upgrades elsewhere!

I have the original box, so shipping won't be an issue. RRP is $2,660, I believe. You can find the specs below. It's worth noting that, in addition to the balanced and standard headphone outputs, this also has a great preamp function. Here are a few reviews:
