It is with much sadness and regret, that I am selling my complete audio set up.
All components are in A1 condition both in functionality and appearance.

Unfortunately because of my MS, my health is deteriorating faster than originally thought. So because of my mobility I have to simplify my system to a small bedroom unit. My main system is not getting the use it deserves.  I will try and make it as cheap as possible, so it appeals to the beginner or some looking for a second system. All components come from a pet free, smoke free, OCD, home. I live inland so it’s never been exposed to salt air.

For sale are the following,

1. Cambridge Azur 851 W Class XD power amplifier. I know that there is a lot of conjecture about class D. I choose the Cambridge because IMO they have mastered class D amplification. Secondly the I can leave it on all day without the power meter doing backflips. Thirdly it runs much cooler, which is great on hot days. Please don’t get me wrong, I’m not suggesting for a minute that class D is better than Class A, or class A/B. Merely that for a class D amplifier, the sound is very satisfying.

2. Cambridge Azur 851 E Pre amplifier. The perfect match for the 851 W power Amplifier.

3. Cambridge CXN V2 music streamer. I liked this streamer from the minute I turned it on, great sound, wonderful built in Dac, Easy to use app. Can be used as a transport only if you connect to a stand alone Dac. Very versatile piece of equipment. Cambridge clearly hit a home run with this product.

4. Cyrus CD8 SE CD player. Complete with Cyrus PSX-R power supply. The CD player sounds good in its own right, the separate power supply takes it to the next level.

5. Sunfire True Signature sub woofer. This sub really digs down low, with great timing and accuracy.

6. Focal Chorus 800W Special Edition. Same specifications as the anniversary model. It will be hard to let these go, they’re such a great speakers, and deliver so much. They seem to blend well with the D Class Amplification.

7. Pre-amplifier is connected to power Amplifier using Tara Labs XLR’s

8. The Streamer is connected to the Pre using Cord Company Indigo plus RCA’s.

9. The CD player is connected to the Pre using Cord COMPANY Signature RCA’s

10. The Focals are connected to the Amplifier using Tellurium Q speaker cables.

All components come with their remotes. I do have most of the original boxes for freight. Auditions are welcome. The grills for the speakers have never been on the speakers. They have been wrapped in glad wraps since new.

Please fell free to ask me any questions. The other black components in the cupboard also come with the system.

If this system is purchased by someone within a reasonable distance radius.

I will be more than happy to help with the transport, and assist with the set up at the new premises.

Hope you end up with a cracker of a setup in the bedroom unit that gives you lots of joy, though smaller than this.

Best wishes

Thank you very much for your kind words George. I don’t think I have that much knowledge to share. As I said in one of the forums “ what I know about this wonderful sometimes Life changing hobby, you could write on a pinheaded with a blowtorch.” The one piece of advice I can give to newcomers to SN, is to read all the forums, even if you don’t think they relate to you. I’ve found the forums on Stereonet, change tack quicker than Australia 2 in the America’s cup. So everything is worth reading, even if it’s just for a laugh,😂which we all need. Other time some wonderful useful information. It’s amazing how one topic will lead into the next, and the next. I think you get the picture. If you have a question don’t be afraid to start a new forum about your topic, no matter how small it may seem. There is a heck of a lot of years worth of knowledge out there.

Thanks to all

John.🙏

If it helps someone out that’s thinking of buying  the  system,  but might be worried about fright costs. I will pay the freight to the eastern states, an half to the west. Hope that helps out. It’s really is a very good system. I also have a Cambridge 651/P Phono stage. Has MM and MC connections I can also throw that in with a quality set of RCA’s. Sorry  I’m keeping my turntable. Not that it will be part  of the bedroom system. I wish to pass it down to the next generation.

A top notch stereo system, you obviously thought about each dollar spent. GLWTS. I'm keen to know what you might choose for a replacement setup - perhaps a Naim Unit Atom, or a NAD Masters M10 ? All the best...
