Found in front yard while gardening. Probably accidentally severed during recent hedge pruning works.

What should I do with this?

Advice appreciated!

If you're asking about repairing it.

1) Carefully strip back the outer jacket of the cable at the two ends, about 30mm

2) Carefully strip the individual conductors about 6mm each.

3) Fit a 100mm piece of dual wall (glue lined) heat shrink over the outer jacket of one end of the cable.

4) Fit a 15mm length of appropriately sized heat shrink over each of the conductors, twist and solder them to their corresponding pair.

5) Slide the heat shrink over the soldered joints of the individual wires, making sure the joint is evenly covered, and shrink it.

6) Slide the heat shrink over the repaired wires, evenly distributed over the repair area, and shrink it.

Note: it is better if you can stagger the solder joints to make a neater and more reliable repair...

Or were you asking something else? 🤣

@bob_m_54 thank you very much, I wasn't sure a repair was possible -- I'm happy to send it to any SNA member who wants the project (I don't even have soldering equipment) -- not a valuable unit from what I can see online...
