EXPIRED Tannoy HPD 315 Speakers

Further Information: These Tannoys HPD 315 are in there Original enclosures and fully imported from the UK. Cross/overs are in original untouched condition, only the rubber surrounds were recently replaced in the uk before they arrived to Australia last year. Both the drivers and enclosures are in remarkable condition !!

Hello;

A point of curiosity from an owner of Cheviots - which use the 315 driver.

Is the cabinet ported?  It doesn't appear to be from the photos.  Yet seems to be original Tannoy.

To the best of my knowledge, all the HPD series were designed for front-ported Bass-Reflex cabinets.

Can you clarify?  Ta.

Such great speakers when paired with medium output impedance amplifiers-like most push pull EL34 or KT88  valve amps .

Aha!  A friend has done a dig and updated me.  Never too old to learn!

Seems these are Tannoy Mansfields.  [I've haunted Tannoy sites for years & never heard of them.]
