drteflon Posted November 15, 2013 Posted November 15, 2013 Item: NAD t977 Power Amp, 7 channelLocation: South AustraliaPrice: $2200 delivered ONO (RRP $3500)Item Condition: 7-8/10 - See description below. Less than 4 months old.Reason for selling: Changed to BrystonPayment Method: Pick up (cash), bank transfer.Extra Info: Bought this 25/06/2013 so plenty of warranty left and happy to provide proof of purchase to the buyer. It was the last one in the country at the time but I'm sure there must be more around now because that was around the time that the distributor changed over. It served me very well but I had a chance to switch over to a Bryston and will be sticking with the Bryston. All specs can be found here http://nadelectronic...Power-Amplifier. It is rated at 7x140W, with dynamic power rated at 230W into 8 and 390W into 4. Drove my dynaudio focus 340s with ease. There is a small dent on the front panel... this happened when I was moving it into place in the cabinet (it is heavy at > 30kg!). Really bothered me for a while but I ended up creating a NAD sticker and covering it up and it is not too noticeable. If you keep it in a closed cabinet it will be out of sight out of mind! The blue led on the second channel was playing up (duller than the other channels) - I have it with the authorized warranty repairer as we speak and they plan to replace the whole led panel (just awaiting parts). There is absolutely nothing wrong with the second channel - I used it to drive my front left speaker without any troubles.I only used 5 of the 7 channels perhaps 5-10 hours per week at most so it has had an easy life. Kept very well ventilated. I have seen a few threads re multichannel power amps for people setting up a new home theatre and I think this would be a great addition at a very good price leaving money for a better pre or better speakers.Pictures: Not great quality as my listening room is quite dark. Will get better quality pictures when I get it back some time next week.
