Smp Posted June 4, 2023 Posted June 4, 2023 (edited) Further Information: Purchased new 15 to 18 months ago - lightly used as I have various other amplifiers - specifically a total of 249 hours use. This Class A amplifier is cosmetically and operationally perfect - not a blemish. Comes with manual and manufacturer's box and packaging. It produces 25 w into 8 ohms and 50 w into 4 ohms - Stereophile Magazine tested it to produce closer to 90 w into 4 ohms. There are many highly positive reviews of this unit by numerous respected reviewers. It's solid and supremely well built overall. Has single ended (RCA) outputs only and high quality Furutech binding posts I'm a long time valve amp user , and have a particular pair of easy to drive speakers with which I wished to properly experience some First Watt amplification and also including specifically the Pass Labs XA25 - the now proposed sale of which in no way denigrates it's fabulous performance. However, one cannot keep them all. Those are naturally not blemishes on the amplifier's faceplate, but the effects of overhead LED lights. Price includes SNA fees to be paid on sale. Guest Posted June 4, 2023 Posted June 4, 2023 A genuine "keeper amp'" for someone. I love mine to bits.
Mendes Posted June 4, 2023 Posted June 4, 2023 I have seen this amp in the flesh, and it definitely presents as mint, would suit a new buyer. GLWTS @Smp, should not last long as new pricing keeps increasing as is everything. 1
Guest Posted June 5, 2023 Posted June 5, 2023 (edited) Funny coincidence, mine came good at about 249 1/2 hours. Seriously though, I had a Pass Labs X150.8 which I loved but when I compared it to the XA25 I was instantly taken by the way Nelson Pass was able to marry the beautiful Class-A PL sound with new dynamics, clarity and fleet footedness. The XA25 weighs half as much but it ain't no light weight. Edited June 12, 2023 by Deepthought
