Item: Sennheiser wireless headphones
Price Range: $0
Item Condition: Used; headphones good, wiring fair
Extra Info: My pride and joy of dictating speech to text no longer charges up. Prior to this it worked flawlessly. I tried replacing the battery (thanks YouTube) BUT who knows if this intricate operation was done correctly by me?? Some of the connecting wires are frayed but the unit does light up normally (current flowing). It has new velour earpads. It is excellent for music. Someone more technically minded than me can restore this unit to health--because I have wasted too many hours trying to do that. It could be a simple fix, which is why I am listing it here.

Can post at your expense in a padded bag.

This IME and IMHO is definitely repairable.  Sure the cables have seen better days but with the right tools and skills the damaged cables could be re-terminated and the connector(s) replaced.  Shame, you obviously like this headphone / mic set but it's understandable it has become a PITA keeping it going.  Have you given any consideration to having it repaired?

You're right about the wiring--but it still works. It's the very very very finicky battery replacement that I think is problematic. I have thought about repairs but it would likely cost most of the new cost for another set (which I won't be buying).

From now on I'm going wired! Old school.

Somebody more 'technical' (read clear-sighted and with fingers the size of matchsticks) take these please or it's going to be a waste...
