Hi All

Looking at replacing my interconnects

Mainly RCA to RCA....

The more I look the more confused I become...Too many choices 😕

My Budget for 1.5 metre and 2 metre lengths is no more than $200 to $300 max each

Also looking for several Power Cables ?

Any advice from cable enthusiast would be of great help thanks

An Aussie manufacturer and one of our Commercial Sponsors is SONIC ART. Mark's SILVERLINE MK 2 RCA Interconnects are hand-made in Melbourne and offer audio performance well beyond their pricing. Go to the SONIC ART website for a detailed description of the SILVERLINE MK 2 RCA cables.

One of the best and value for money rca cables I’ve tried is Aussie-made Aurealis Audio. Believe me, in my 30 years of hifi I’ve tried a lot! Might not be in your price range brand new, but can be found on the second hand market.

Cannot beat Audio Principie at the price point for both interconnects & power cables. Peter is a sensational person to deal with as well.

For power cords, I strongly recommend Ice Age Audio power cords. They are a US based company, that also caters to us in Australia.

Their products are well priced, and once they arrive you realise the heft and build quality blows your highest expectations.

I've tried offering from several other top tier manufacturers, including Voodoo and Nordost. Costing several times the prices, flimsy thin construction, and poor incremental sonic performance.

I own about 20 Ice age Copper power cords. My friends also own a similar amount too.

The ICE AGE power cords are certainly offered at prices that are extremely low. The connectors used are possibly sourced in mainland China......the power plug used does not conform to Australian standards but for those prices that is what you buy. The power cords produced by EGM Audio in Brisbane are certainly worth supporting if Australian Made means anything these days.

The EGM power cords are more expensive, and use significantly lighter copper gauge wiring. They are also not cryo treated. Tried the EGM power cord. I don't hear anywhere near the same sonic improvement on my system.

Rick runs the company out of a small farm from Michigan and is probably the most approachable and helpful manufacturer I've ever had the pleasure of exchanging extensive emails with. If anyone had any technical questions, send him an email. They make all orders from scratch (custom to your request) and express air freight door to door. Incidentally, the company does an disproportionately large volume of business with Australia. I initially, likewise thought the same, inexpensive and probably not the deal. I ordered just three power cords to start. I was so impressed by the heft, build quality and sonic improvements, my next order were for ten more power cords. Then, about a dozen more!

Below, Ice Age power cords in my system (mix of beige and black power cords).
