jodu Posted July 9, 2023 Posted July 9, 2023 Well working Audio Note DAC. used together with V-link usb to spdif adapter (see separate ad) happy to bundle. The Audio Note DAC Zero is specifically engineered for sonic performance rather than technical specifications. It uses vacuum tube technology, implemented using traditional Audio Note techniques. The DAC takes the transport’s S/PDIF digital output and converts it to analogue. It features an up-to-date 24bit/96kilohertz Delta Sigma D/A converter that enhances ordinary 16-bit CDs, and the astounding 6111WA mini tube in the output stage. The mini tube has advantage of tube sound and the life span of transistor. Users do not have to worry about tube replacement therefore the tube does not require a socket and could directly print on the PCB board. This method also avoid interface signal loss. It is also the only DAC to utilize the Delta Sigma chip with tube. Output Impedance: Less than 2k ohms Reference Output: 2.5V RMS Channel Balance: Less than 0.5dB Tube Complement: 6111WA Valve Output Stage Digital System: 24-bit 96kHz Delta sigma converter chip Voltage: 240 VAC Frequency: 50 - 60 Hz Power Consumption: 11 watts Fuse Ratings: T500mA anti-surge Dimensions(w x d x h): 22 x 30 x 11 cm Weight: 4kg Color: Silver
Colonel Sanders Posted July 9, 2023 Posted July 9, 2023 This is a really good DAC. I had the CDP version of it way back then and I had to wait until Denafrips came with their R2R DACs to find something equivalent. A no brainer at the asking price.
