Further Information
These probably need little introduction here.
Yamaha's top-of-the-line speaker in 1982, a substantial upgrade / step-up from the beloved NS-1000 speakers.
Beryllium-dome midrange and tweeter, and pure carbon-fibre cone 13" woofer.
Beautiful solid cabinets, each speaker weighing 47kg.
Matching-numbers and unmodified cross-overs.
Overall excellent condition.

Included are:

  • Original SPS-2000 stands, very rare and made from solid african padouk.
  • Original speaker grilles (excellent condition with none of the mounting clips broken)
  • Non-original user manuals.
  • Optional concrete slabs (with anti-vibration feet).

Purchased from Japan in 2018, had the woofer foam surrounds replaced by @Lx4man in 2021, with the proper original-style 13" cloth replacements from Japan.

Limited audition and pick-up welcome from Brunswick West, Melbourne.
Delivery possible within 1hr of CBD (message me if you're further).
Total weight is 113kg, so currently shipping is probably not possible.

This matches beautifully with the restored Yamaha B-2 Vfets advertised recently. Beautiful speaker! GLWTS

Been looking for a pair of these for a long time, got the NS1000X. Unfortunately never seen a pair come up for sale in Perth. If no else takes these, maybe we can work something out regarding shipping. Though I'm sure these will get snapped up quickly 🤤

I went from Harbeth 40.1’s to these, never looked back.

I had done the inverse, but to 40.2’s. I too haven’t looked back.
