A rare opportunity for a collector of Quad. Serviced and recapped by Esmond Pitt during 2022. The units had been restored to excellent working condition, power is rated for 50 watt rms. Performance is very dynamic. This type of amplifier was being used by studios like ABC, BBC and CBC in Canada and in recording studios between the 1960"s and 1980's. Great sounding amps with output transformers to match speaker loadings of 4, 8, and 16 ohm by strapping the secondary windings via the output connectors (details in operating manual). Input and output connectors for impedance setting provided in the sale. Refer to photos. Currently set at 16ohms and being used with Quad ESL 57's. I bought this pair over 20years ago and recently decided to restore them due to Esmond Pitts excellent reputation with Quad equipment. The performance is very impressive. The front fascias on both amps are in excellent condition. The heat sinks have minor marks on close inspection. The main covers and base plates have been recently powder coated.
