Hi audiomasters,

Would very much appreciate some friendly advice on bookshelf/standmount speaker selection, particularly from those who have experience with these particular models. Due to physical constraints, my speakers must be on/against the wall opposite my listening position. My current speakers are in custom made wall-mounted cabinets, and the new ones will have to be in similar, or on wall mounts/brackets.

I've been advised that the following speakers perform well up against a wall:

   - Krix Acoustix MK2

   - Elac Debut Reference

   - Elac Unifi Reference

These are within my budget, but unfortunately I'm not able to audition them together anywhere. If anyone has used these and has some input it would be very much appreciated. Any other suggestions to consider would also be great.

My current setup includes a Rega P3 tt, Rotel RCD-1572 cdp, and Rotel RA-11 amp. Amp will be upgraded at some stage, but not immediately. Don't know if it makes a difference, but I mosly listen to classical/symphonic music, prog rock and jazz. I'm currently using a subwoofer to assist my existing speakers (old pair of Jamos), but if we can do away with the sub all the better.

Many thanks,

Peter

Hey. No experience with you options but Edward at Adelaide Speakers http://www.adelaidespeakers.com/fusion-flat-panel-speakers.html

offers what he calls Fusion series speakes designed to be on or up against a wall. From his website "Many other models on the website can be built in this flatter way on request, with TL (Tansmission Line) channels exiting the side". I and a number  of the Stereonet members have his speakers and they speak highly of them, as I do. Maybe call him to discuss your needs and see what he says. He is open to talk on the phone or email and usually responds fairly quickly.

Many thanks BRS. Will have a look, they might just fit the bill.
