rockeater Posted August 28, 2023 Posted August 28, 2023 On the 4th picture, you can see that the belt is crossed between the turntable and the pulley. You can easily correct it by turning it inwards at the brass pulley (and before it) and making a turn or two. 1

SonicArt Posted August 28, 2023 Posted August 28, 2023 Are you sure the Japan domestic units have multi voltage supply boards? My experience is the Japan domestic market gets fixed 100v product, and anything destined for international has the selectable board.

SonicArt Posted August 29, 2023 Posted August 29, 2023 I can see the board pic you posted, thats not in question, is that photo 100% from a domestic Japan unit? Because I asked CEC about this a few years ago, about the TL5 and about the fact they were being sold out of Japan on ebay for around $1400-1600AUD. They told me the domestic ones could not be changed. Happy to be proven wrong but would want to see the actual inside of a domestic unit, something I was not able to find anywhere online at the time. 1
SonicArt Posted August 29, 2023 Posted August 29, 2023 Just an update, had a quick look on ebay to see what the current go is with the TL5 sellers, and noticed in the feedback of one popular seller that a UK buyer had commented on being able to change the voltage in the one he received, so looks like they are putting a standard board and tx into the machines even coming out of Japan. This must be a change as I have seen other Japan domestic units in the past with only single tap transformers.
