Guest yamaha_man Posted December 6, 2013 Posted December 6, 2013 What if it's a new species of caddisfly that I discovered? I'm well aware of that squire! How many years ago was it now??? Hmmm, the word passé again springs to mind.

caddisgeek Posted December 7, 2013 Posted December 7, 2013 I'm well aware of that squire! How many years ago was it now??? Hmmm, the word passé again springs to mind. Quite happy to rest on my laurels
cheekyboy Posted December 7, 2013 Posted December 7, 2013 no worries djb, i dont like the idea if using $200 mid with $50 tw If you can still get hold of the original Vifa tweeter, don't worry that it's only around $50.00, it's a very good performer in this design, just don't cross it over to the mid woofer too low. Cheers, Keith
henry218 Posted December 7, 2013 Posted December 7, 2013 thanks keith, i know zaph likes them and rated them very high. cheers henry
henry218 Posted December 7, 2013 Posted December 7, 2013 i have built satori which has similar pedigree and more advanced than revelator the parts is for 2 way with peerless hds 8" and satori tw in round waveguide
djb Posted December 7, 2013 Posted December 7, 2013 Thanks bearded man Yamaha man xxxx there was some other name too You see Cgeek the coolest kid on the block came to my defence So now I can safely say, your soldering irons done nothing better than patch that cast off technics 1200 mk 11! My new friend welds together the bits for his Krells
ThirdDrawerDown Posted December 7, 2013 Posted December 7, 2013 I was recently told not to be concerned about being unable to buy a pair of Zaph ZD 5's instead I should go ahead and build them myself. But here is the advice from the Zaph site: This project and article is not recommended for beginning DIY'ers. By these parts going to an experienced builder, looks appropriate to me.
