mfforever Posted September 18, 2023 Posted September 18, 2023 (edited) Further Information: This is a beautiful Nakamichi integrated amp that has been expertly serviced by Chris Kimil and updated. ( please see invoice in photos ........ and yes, I have spent way too much buying and restoring this amp but I do love my classic vintage gear ) The production run was between 1990 and 1994; it cost around $1000 Australian at that time, reflecting the high end quality of Nakimichi . Plenty of power here combined with engaging musicality. ........ hey, just hooked them up again and playing John Martyn Solid Air and I must say it sounds fantastic......... plenty of air with very well controlled bass. - Made in Japan - 50 Watt into 8 ohms - Phono switchable between MM or MC - tone and balance controls - 240 V ( often imported models are 220V ) - 12.5 kgs - newly fitted 2 sets of very high quality binding posts and a new 2.8 meter cord ( it previously had a short cord with a really flimsy Australian adaptor on the plug ) The amp is in excellent condition ...... really amazing for its age. .....some tiny scuff marks under the chassis that can only be seen from underneath..... Ready to go for many more decades . Edited September 18, 2023 by mfforever 2

Jehuty Posted September 18, 2023 Posted September 18, 2023 Nakamichi...so many great memories using their gear during my heyday of car audio. $1k back in those days was a significant outlay. Tempted to get this, local as well....oh man 2
mfforever Posted September 18, 2023 Author Posted September 18, 2023 Hi Rantan ........ I have a local buyer so that makes it easier ....... I'm a bit of a stress head when it comes to packing audio stuff as I go truly manically excessive........... thank you for your interest 1 1
mfforever Posted September 18, 2023 Author Posted September 18, 2023 Thank you for the replies ............. is now sold pending Bank Transfer ........... 1
Robertoh Posted September 18, 2023 Posted September 18, 2023 Nice looking beast. Well done to the successful buyer! Just out of curiosity, what is the difference in functions between the "Listen Monitor" large dial on the left and the "Output Level" dial on the right? Must be a "Nak thing"? I've not seen that before...
mfforever Posted September 19, 2023 Author Posted September 19, 2023 Hi Roberto ....... Yes, it is a beautiful looking beast in that classic Japanese retro way and I am sorry to let it go ....... but, Life goes on ............ the " Listen Monitor " is the source selection and the " Output Level" is the volume control. 1
