Further Information

This info is from original sale.  I have purchased NAB adaptors. .This is a well-cared for unit that has spent the past decade or more undisturbed in a storage cupboard. Everything works, except the rev counter (broken small belt) and the little light in one VU meter. The plexiglass cover has some scuffs and scratches; otherwise, cosmetic condition is hard to fault. Have 2 x brand new tapes that would be keen to sell also .

This is a great sounding machine for someone looking to experience the amazing sound of tape without spending a fortune  , and at this price it's a bargain  ..

I believe this is the recording model used by BIS (and many others) to make outstanding minimalist-miked recordings for their vinyl releases--for years.

Hi

all I know about the machine is what was written in the original advertisement and that’s paraphrased here . Although I had a r2r as a boy I know little about them technically. This was an impulse purchase on a machine that was the right price - a bargain . I’m not going to use it . You won’t see a Studer Studer or an otari at this kind of price - well I wouldn’t think so . It is in excellent condition cosmetically . I’m just passing it on for how much it ended up costing me - well actually less by the time sna receives fee

thanks for your interest

Hi

- is the machine factory 4 track, 31/2 and 71/2?  Has it been Converted to 15 ips, 2 track?

- any caps been replaced/updated?

thanks

I know someone in Sydney who could help get this back to original condition. At this price, it's really no brainer.

Hi

i think it’s two track? Please correct me though ?

anthony

There are two ways on these.

If it still exists,/hasn't fallen off  there is a sticker on the little arm that moves the rubber pinch roller, just pop down the flap at the front and you'll see.

Or, Its a but hard on these because of the angle but if you take a photo of the tape record or play heads we can advise.

You are correct . There is a sticker - it’s a 4 track!

Its one of the best 4 track commercial/domestic tape players you can get in terms of sound quality and build quality because it is a semi pro master type machine that was optioned to be a 4 track player.

With new current blank tape this will out perform a Nakamishi Dragon!

With selling tape machines, always good to let potential buyers know how many pisties it has!

I'm a 2 pistie guy.
