This is content from 5yrs ago however I expect it is still relevant, and it again shows the larger the platform the lower the payment to artists , and, the greater proportion of revenue generated goes to established artists even if YOU don’t listen to them.

Surely it's not as simple as 'how much per stream'?

 

If Apple is paying twice as much as Spotify, but I am getting streamed 3 times as much on Spotify, surely I am making more money from spotify?

Depends on the compensation model used by the service and the assumption that if an artist goes to a service with a larger consumer base that the artist will automatically have a an increased audience which isn’t necessarily the case.
