One of the things I have been looking forward to about being in North America is a access to more and bigger audio shows. Not that I don’t love the Australian one.

There is just a larger and more varied selection here, and access to some brands that we never see or here in Australia.

So like he addict I am I eagerly attended all three days.

Overall there were some great products on show and some awesome sounding rooms.

I’ll get all the pictures posted up first and then perhaps go on and edit them with some comments later.

I am also working on a playlist that I will be able to share, which is all the good music that was used to demo the kit.

I’ll post that here and also in my system thread once I have done it, there is some really great tracks on there that should suit all tastes.

Nice, thanks for sharing.

Was there a big crowd?

No probs, i'll keep it coming, I have over 100 pictures.

I know one of the guys from the Sennheiser room and he told me it was well attended.

On that note this was the $85000 headphone set up in the Sennheiser room, tucked away in its own cupboard with one chair. They were taking bookings and giving people 15 minutes.

When you close the lid the valves retract and the headphones sink.

I wanted to be absolutely blown away for $85k, sadly I wasn't.

Still it was great to hear it.

Forgot to get a picture of the headphones because they were on my head.

I listened to this set up a few times. It sounded nice but not really for me, however I went in late on the second day and they played Inger Marie Gunderson - Always on my mind - for me. One of my favourite tracks, her voice just comes out of nowhere.

The delivery was excellent, the only goosebumps, hairs on the back of my neck moment of the show.

There seemed to be an absence of Roon mentions at the show, which I felt told a story,  there was an issue with the internet at the hotel, so maybe that was why but it felt like most people were happy to stream Tidal or qobuz.

The only thing in play here were the Final $16k cad I think and the all in one unit.

This was the only system that seemed to drag a little more depth and decay from vocals.

A speaker that I have noted as one to try at some point.

I only got to have a brief listen to the Audio Physics, as they shared a room with the planner speakers, this was a shame because the system and speakers sounded great, another one on my list to check.out.further.

The Monitor Audio speakers run by the Rotel Michi sounded great, the older version was one of my favourites from the last Melbourne show I attended.
