sleach Posted November 9, 2023 Posted November 9, 2023 (edited) Further Information: The most aesthetically pleasing speaker I have owned. Beautiful craftsmanship in all aspects, just very nicely made. Sound is fantastic as you would expect from Exclusive/TAD. These were made for enthusiasts. I had these serviced by Openear audio earlier this year and all drivers tested at 100%. An all-horn speaker system developed as a speaker that reproduces the natural sound, depth of sound, and subtle nuances of tone. 30 cm woofer system EW-302 is used for the low range.\ The use of the front loaded horn gives the sound of the horn system, and the thickness of the middle and low band is improved by the synergistic effect with the bass reflex system. Driver ED-911 and horn EH-321L are adopted for middle and high range. The ED-911 pursues high efficiency and wide range. It exhibits excellent characteristics in the extension of sound pitch by the adoption of 3 slit phasing plug, aluminium alloy diaphragm with tangential edge, voice coil with aluminum edgewise wire, and rear type compression system. The EH 321 l is a wooden horn made of maple plywood. It has less horn noise than metallic horns, so it realizes a natural sound. I'll also include the stands I made myself as well as the original (small) stand. Lovely speaker, beautifully built, only a couple of good watts to make them sing, and very good pricing for such a collectable, credit to you for the condition they're in. Back in the day "the majors" had real pride in the sound and build quality of their hiend product line, these were the Technics/Yamaha/Sony equivalents back then.. http://www.thevintageknob.org/technics-SB-10000.html http://www.thevintageknob.org/yamaha-GF-1.html http://www.thevintageknob.org/sony-SS-R10.html GLWTS Cheers George Edited November 9, 2023 by georgehifi 8
