Pete Burness Posted November 14, 2023 Posted November 14, 2023 Further Information: Purchased new by myself in 1986, these have been cared for as well as possible, especially during house moving over the years. The woofer foam surrounds were replaced by Speakerbits, Port Melbourne in 2011 because of perishing. The cabinets and grilles present well with only slight fading on the veneer timber and some minor marking on the edges. I would rate the units an 8/10 cosmetically with sound quality typical for JBL Speakers, these units have the legendary titanium dome tweeter. I believe these units were quite rare in Australia and would now be getting harder to find because people are holding on to them. I would highly recommend these to anyone into great sounding equipment, especially with one of the better vintage receivers or decent quality modern stereos. You will not be disappointed!
