The es9038pro is their flagship dac, more info on the linked pdf. https://www.esstech.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/09/ES9038PRO-Datasheet-v3.7.pdf Paired with a good quality amp and speakers the sound is warm and resolving, good sound stage and fantastic with different sized rooms just use the filter to adjust for room size which corrects the frequency fall off to suit the room. please read the instructions when it comes to using the filters they are room sized based, you won’t notice a difference immediately when switching between filters and sitting close, the difference is clear when used correctly and speakers positioned appropriately. The preamp function works great and allows for both single ended and balanced to function at the same time if required. use the bundled remote which I prefer as I’m a tactile person or switch over the the android/ iOS app for the full feature set at your finger tips, super convenient.
