bb6152 Posted December 21, 2023 Posted December 21, 2023 Further Information: This is an amazing piece of equipment. Everything about it is excellent. I am only selling because I have gone to another level with the DAC (Brooklyn Manhattan 2) and I have now ripped all my CDs and stream them from my Auralic Aries 2.1 dedicated streamer. I was tempted just to keep the April Eximus CD5 (on the shelf), but I haven't used it for a while and I am also under "orders" to declutter. I am pretty sure I still have the original box (somewhere). I am sure it would also better in a place where someone else can enjoy its capabilities and sheer presence. I purchased this piece from StereoNet member "eagleeyes", back in 2020. Read on for his description: Item Condition: EXCELLENT- Mint Shipping Options: Pickup available but audition is not available. Pickup available and you can audition. Shipping is included in price. Suburb or Town: Perth State: Western Australia Payment Method: PayPal, cash, EFT Reason for selling: Looking to upgrade I reserve the right to cancel this sale if the product I am chasing sells, I have just been listening to it for the first time and its insanely good. The Eximus cd5 is in Silver, it is recent, in Pristine Condition and just looking to maybe sell to upgrade, I bought from SNA member Audionerd- George Secher a month ago for same price, its very very good but have my eye on something else. Price was $14000 Aus based on $9000 US dollars when new - its a big beast, bigger than or deeper than most components. 460wide by 80mm high by 400 deep its a heavy beast in awesome condition with very little use according to GS. with original remote control- puck and manual and box but will need to check if original I think so. April Music continues to push the boundaries of digital audio with the new Eximus CD5. With only three front-panel buttons, and four top-mounted function buttons, this stylish player mates sleek, elegant design with performance on par with the most exclusive components in the audio world. The CD5 features a top-loading CD Pro transport from Philips. The CD Pro’s minimal moving parts promise years of maintenance-free enjoyment. The player’s refined electronic circuitry renders both incredibly wide audio bandwidth (10Hz to 55kHz) and astounding signal/noise ratio and dynamic range specifications (120dB). In addition, the CD5 serves as an external DAC with upsampling to 96kHz. Three levels of sampling frequency plus a full array of digital outputs (Coax, Optical, and AES/EBU balanced) and inputs (Coax, Optical, USB) guarantee compatibility with virtually every digital source and outboard processor. Balanced and unbalanced stereo outputs guarantee compatibility with all downstream analog gear. April Music says the Eximus CD5 may prove to be the only CD player you will ever need. 4

PKay Posted December 22, 2023 Posted December 22, 2023 Looks very interesting. A lot of gear for the money.
rantan Posted December 22, 2023 Posted December 22, 2023 What a lovely player, someone with great taste should snap up this and be very happy. it is really sad for me to see people ditching great products like this and ripping CDs instead, but I am not being personally critical of you and my remarks are a general opinion.
