BlueDove Posted December 30, 2023 Posted December 30, 2023 Further Information: For Sale: PS Audio P15 Power Plant Regenerator in black (current RRP $13995). I purchased this P15 brand new in December 2021 from an authorised Australian dealership. They have confirmed that the remaining warranty (nearly 12 months) is transferable to the new owner. It has been sat on a dedicated isolation shelf feeding my system since arrival, with only occasional dusting using a microfibre cloth. All original packaging, handbooks, etc. are in excellent condition, as is the remote which has not been used. I have used PS Audio power regenerators for nearly 20 years, from the P500 (good but short-lived) to the PPP (a bit crap), then the P10 (awesome) and now the P15 (evolutionary improvement over P10). They have always been indispensable in making my system sound it’s best. However, a recent sanity check revealed that my wall is now providing MUCH cleaner power such that the P15 is adding significantly less value in my system. After mulling it over for a couple of months I have decided to sell the P15 in order to use the funds elsewhere (while praying the power gremlins don’t return). There is plenty of information on the P15 available at psaudio.com and local retailers, so I won’t repeat it all here. For shipping, the box dimensions are 56x51x34cm and the weight is 38kg. I will obtain a quote for shipping if required. 3
Silver Audiophile Posted December 30, 2023 Posted December 30, 2023 (edited) I initially bought a pair of generic power conditioner for about $1.5K each (DAB LB-3000+ DAB RC-300). While it had the effect of making the music sound a little bit cleaner, it totally sucked the life/emotion and dynamics away from the music. The draw back was so profound, it obliterated any gains by a factor of at least 5 times IMO. That when I bought the PS Audio P10 power regenerator. They had zero negative impact on the sound, but significant improvement to fidelity, dynamic swing, bass response, and soundstaging. The differentiation of these power regenerators (as opposed to the power conditioner I had before it) is the profound lowering of the output impedance. This is where most of sonic improvements comes from, not just the lowering of just THD in the power. As you go up the PS Audio power regenerator chain, eg. P10 to P20, the output impedance drops again by another whooping factor of 3 !! Edited December 30, 2023 by Silver Audiophile 2 1
