I have just purchase the last brand new available B&W HTM71 S2 available in the country. I called all the shops and although they stated they had the S2, none of them actually had in stock (as it's been a year since the S3 came out).

Although it's a white colour (would have preferred black), the grille is grey and I would have draped the black speaker with velvet to reduce projector screen glare so I can do that to the white top and sides.

Will be with me by end of next week as it needs to be shipped. Got it for $1370 inc shipping. Cheapest price I could get for the S3 was ~$2700. S3 better speaker but not double the speaker as I've been told.

Thanks everyone for your thoughts and input, I can't wait to hear better vocals in movies.........and 3 way centre!!!

That is great! Congratulations!

And please let us know what you think of the combination. It is good to know there are alternatives out there to match what we already own without spending crazy amounts of money!

And the advice here in Stereonet provided by members like a.Dent, Betty Boop and Hi-Fi Whipped and others is nothing but THE BEST.

For sure, I'll give an update here one I get it, set it up including SPL and whatever Denon wants to do. I'll also be able to use another set of speaker cables from the CA integrated being a 3 way speaker with 2 sets of speaker terminals.

And a big YES, apart from Al, big big thanks to all including a.Dent and Hi-Fi Whipped!!!!

You also have the option of vinyl wrapping this centre speaker in black if you wish.

Great choice and great price. I'm sure you'll love it.

Yes, vinyl wrap with a matt black may mean you won't need the felt to cover it to reduce projector glare.

Tend to disagree. If it passes the WAF, spend $20 at Spotlight on some black velvet. If you have a batcave, ANY minor reflection draws you out of the image. I have my Centre, Subs, L+R covered as well as my bass traps in the front corners. ( And yes, that is a black shag pile carpet rug. 😉 )

Black matt veneer will still shine IMHO.

I just attached my velvet with some double sided Velcro tabs. Easily removed if needed.

Received the B&W last Friday, spent a bit of today positioning, calibrating SPLs and Audyssey.

I have to say, I am greatly impressed, the vocals sound so good.

I had to modify my existing speaker stand as the B&W is so much bigger than the Dyna.

With my UST projector properly positioned without Keystone adjustments, I was forced to lower the B&W and angle higher with tweeter at the main seating position.

It may be me imagining things but sitting off centre in other seats also sounds clearer.

Another big thanks to everyone who supported me along the way!!!

That is really good. So good match for your PMC speakers?

Great movie by the way, I had a bit of time at home today as everyone else was gone and I ended up watching exactly the same. No Time To Die, sooooooo good.

So how much better is it than your old centre? so do you think the B&W match better to the PMC than Dynaudio? in this set up anyway? And I am very pleased that you are happy with it!

Didnt watch the whole movie, just the obligatory aston smashing gunfire church bells scene haha.

I think they're a good match, the B&Ws sound 'clearer' but I haven't really tested them yet.

Will need to be weekend before I get chance to watch whole movie.

I could only fit No Time To Die (myself,  audyssey set to central position) and half of Kong vs Godzilla (with wifey, audyssey set to 4 seats)...

I'm blown away, the vocals are sooooooo good.

I'll have to watch a movie of axis
