crtexcnndrm99 Posted January 4, 2024 Posted January 4, 2024 Further Information: An EOI at this stage for my dear horn system. I’m hoping it can go to an enthusiast who will enjoy it as much as I have and appreciate the adjustability. Easily swap out crossover caps, adjust physical driver alignment, and cabinets are moveable due to being on castors. Designed with high efficiency in mind to be used the a whole range of amps from SET (2W amp used here) to SS amps. The sound is large scale, immediate, and effortless, as a horn system should be. Audition is available and delivery possible with advance notice in the Brisbane region. A shoutout to Martin from Azura horns for his work on the horns and crossover design. The front loaded horn for the woofer is based on the Japanese cabinet ‘Cornetta’ for which there are plans available. It is consistent with the design aims of high efficiency and openness in the lower midrange. I’ll draw on the excellent ad write up of a fellow member to use their format below for specs. Low frequency is fast not flabby and reaches down into the 20hz range measured while remaining efficient and driven by a flea watt tube amp, which I find impressive. Cabinet is produced with birch ply. Duelund bypass cap on the tweeter. Spare PIO caps to change according to taste in the crossover. Boxes for the 340 horns and woofers are available.
