Back in the day when big wattage wasn't an issue, this JLH amp was in direct competition to the Nelson Pass A40 using Quad ESL-57's to which one sounded the best. https://www.passdiy.com/project/amplifiers/the-pass-a-40-power-amplifier Today either of these will make a great amp for the mids/highs of bi-amped speaker or a full range one that's very efficient.
