Item: Pioneer PL-15 R Belt Drive with some fancy add-ons: built-in phono and led speed indicator. New AT95e cartridge and new belt.
Location: Sydney - Carlingford
Price: $140 ono
Item Condition: Pretty good. The lid has a few deep marks and scratches but no cracks. It works!
Reason for selling: No longer required
Payment Method: Pickup only - Cash
Extra Info: OK this is a bit of a Frankeneer. Someone decided to make this into an all in one and added a phono stage inside - I know nothing about the electronics other than it works and sounds pretty good. The motor is dead quiet and overall it plays quite well for something of this age. I don't have any 45s to test the speed but it appears slow to me. I assume it can be adjusted somewhere. The 33 speed plays fine. Also there is a RED led speed indicator but the switch is still a manual knob. This is a manual start but auto stop model and also has a stop button that initiates the auto stop. It has anti skate that works and I found balancing the arm and set up fairly easy. It has a 5 pin DIN connection on the back.

To get it going I installed a new cartridge, new headshell, new belt and got a cheap DIN to RCA cable. You are good to go. Perfect for someone who just wants to spin a few old LPs or as a second/garage table. The cartridge and belt would be lucky to have 10 hours on them.

Remember you don't need a phono so you can connect directly to your line inputs on your amp.
