Richter speakers

Hi there.

I'm a big fan of Richter Speakers and have been collecting some but have run into a problem. I can't find a tweeter that has blown. I'd love it if someone out there could help. I'll leave a pic. Never seen anything like it.  Any help would be great.

That's an odd one isn't it.

If you can remove the tweeter and take a photo of the back of it it might help with identification.

I did but there isn't a mark on them.

Yeah it is the IV series 

RICHTER Merlin Legend IV

I think it's sourced from Legacy Audio in the US. It appears to be identical to the older style 1" neo spiral ribbon tweeter used on the expression and phantom series. Try contacting Legacy Audio in the US or Pymble Hifi in AU to see if you can source one.

1st post on the forum, be gentle....

 

I just encountered the same issue with the Wizard IV and contacted Richter via their support email who replied

 

"Yes we have an upgrade availble for the MK4 ribbon tweeter and require you to send us your faulty tweeter so we can rebuild it to the MK4.5 version, the cost is $89 please return postage."

That's wonderfull news. After speaking to a tech this morning that told me not to bother contacting Richter as they wouldn't help me.. so I'm very glad you informed me of this. Yay I can get these beasties going again.  Thank you everyone for your help.
