You can use this as a stand-alone streamer with a DAC of your choice, or utilise its internal ESS Sabre DAC (which is excellent). It has a variety of digital inputs and both RCA and XLR outputs if you choose to run it directly to your amplification. It also has the LeedH volume control which you can use in lieu of a dedicated preamp should you wish (ie direct to your power amp).
