nopoweradeinusa Posted February 18, 2024 Posted February 18, 2024 Further Information: Pretty rare piece of kit here! Hand built by Canadian amp builder Gilbert Yeung, in excellent condition, kept in a pet free & smoke free room in the year I've had it, simply moving it on due to swapping from floor standers to more efficient bookshelf speakers. Bought in November 2022 from another SNA user 160 watts into 8 ohms and 260 watts into 4 ohms Has independent left and right channel volume controls and a mono setting 3 rca inputs and 1 balanced input, also a loop in or out feature with balanced inputs also Forewarning, this thing is quite heavy & a bit longer than your typical amp, 44cm width with a 53cm length, weights in at about 30 kgs Previous owner replaced the original binding posts with 5 way terminals This thing sounds great, analytical and detail forward with never becoming shrill or causing listening fatigue, if I still had my duntechs I would be holding onto it but sadly it must go! If anyone is curious & in brisbane contact me as I'm happy to drive it out so you can hear it in your own set up/with your own speakers If there's anyone out of state interested please message me, happy to organize postage via pack & send but due to the weight and size it might be on the more expensive side hope to hear from you guys! - Christian Below is a review from the 6moons review and link: The BmPH is a solid-state integrated amp design outputting 160 watts into 8 ohms and 260 watts into 4 ohms. This behemoth measures 17.5" wide x 21.25" deep x 5" high and weighs in at a hefty 65 lbs, most of which is the massive power supply some 75% larger than in the NSCS I covered nearly two years ago. There are also two power output modules per channel while the NSCS has one per channel. The preamp section is also different in that it is a fully balanced design whereas the NSCS is single-ended. Further specs are as follows: • residue noise reference to full power output: >-91dB • residue noise reference to full power output: >-100dB • tracking error: < +/- 0.1dB • frequency response (10W into 8 ohms): 10Hz to 50KHz +0.00dB, -0.1 dB; 0.7dB at >100kHz • distortion at 10W into 8 ohms: < 0.04 % -Voltage gain: 32 B (BAL), 29dB (SE) • input sensitivity: 0.9V • input impedance: 200K (BAL), 100K (SE) https://6moons.com/audioreviews/bluecircle2/bluecircle.html
