Further Information

Selling my Dynaudio Heritage Special speakers as I'm moving overseas soon and won't be possible to enjoy them over there. One of the last pair to be manufactured by Dynaudio, serial number 2,446 of 2,500 made. Purchased form A2A a few months ago.

Which cables are you asking about? The speaker cables are 5.0m long Witch Hat. Power cable to NAD M33 is an iFi Nova. The RCA cables to the subs are some generic ones, 3.0m long. The M33 doesn't have XLR outputs but that doesn't seem to bother my Dynaudio 18S subwoofers at all, they sound awesome. The M33 ability in controlling the sound and the subwoofers with DIRAC is really impressive. After you run auto room correction it is dead easy to create a few curves to suit your taste, bumping up the low end for instance. It sure helps that the 18S subwoofers are good down to 16 Hz and got 500W to play with 🙂

Good luck with your sale, do you mind me asking, if you used the dynaudio presets for your heritage speakers on your 18s ? Always wondered if it works or if I would need to buy the sub 6. Thanks for sharing.

I have disabled subwoofer DSP, the best I could, and the M33 does is magic with them. To use the presets you have to route the signal through the subwoofers and that will seriously reduce sound quality. You don't need the sub 6 unless you want to pay well over $1k for its finish. They share the same hardware, down to the last bit, except firmware and that fancy finish. So, the Heritage Specials are driven by M33 and so are the 18S pair, via RCA cables.

I understand that the M33 will soon get an upgrade of its DSP Dirac software that will allow it to control subwoofers in the time domain, not just in frequency response like it does now. The software is being launched with the new M66 and it will trickle down to other NAD devices within the next few months. My system sounds really good as it is, but that update will bring it to another level still.

I'll get buried with my Dynaudio Heritages, will never sell them. Most musical and organic sounding speakers I've ever heard.

Just for clarification, the subwoofers were not included in the sale and have been sold somewhere else.

NAD M33 sold elsewhere so I am now selling only the speakers. Grab these legends at a bargain price!
