Have just installed a Samsung OLED TV that uses a Samsung 'One Box', it has either HDMI, HDMI EArc or Optical outputs.

Is there any way this can be connected to my systems preamp that only has either RCA or XLR inputs.

I haven't had much luck with those cheap eBay DACs and splitters. They sound terrible if they work at all.

Maybe go a bit upmarket and get a better DAC. Use the Toslink connection from the TV. Even something like this will give good results.

Depends on how much you want to spend?  You can get a DAC with optical input from $20 or less to $$$$$.

Alternately, get a streamer/DAC with HDMI earc input like a BlueSound Node N130.

I used an Aliexpress dac for some time and it sounded very decent, was about 40 bucks from memory.  At the time my TV had rca audio out and optical,  but there was a lag on rca out,  voices not in sync so had to go with optical out.  we are happy with 2 Chan for TV so it worked out really well.
