Topman_Chief Posted March 11, 2024 Posted March 11, 2024 (edited) So, I bought a house and it came with lots of...Bose. From the manuals, I think I have a Lifestyle DVD head unit, and a Personal Music Center II (or is the latter just a remote?). Physically, I know I have: 1x black subwoofer 1x white subwoofer 2x head units 3x remotes 1x amp 5x single black speakers 4x double white speakers 1x centre white speaker 1x transformer/power supply Enough cables to sink a ship. I think one set is older (black) and one newer (white). The white was set up and operating when I moved in. Anyone know what Bose treasures I have here? Guest Posted March 11, 2024 Posted March 11, 2024 Long way from being a Bose expert, but I think you have a mix of Acoustimass Series 3 or 5 (sub plus small black in box), Redline Double Cubes, UFS 30 (slim pair on stands) speakers ? Not familiar with non speakers. More thrash than treasure?
Hi-Fi Whipped Posted March 11, 2024 Posted March 11, 2024 Would have to about be 20 years old. Are you considering keeping them and making them work? In the second photo there is a zone amp there that will probably be connected to other speakers in the home somewhere. FWIW those speakers were the budget version, not the top tier.
Topman_Chief Posted March 12, 2024 Author Posted March 12, 2024 Thanks gents. If anyone has suggestions on how to package them up and sell them, I'm all ears. The white system was set up and operating when I moved in. I don't love the Bose sound, but for those that love a sub and nine speakers all around them, it could be a cheap option for someone.
Guest Posted March 13, 2024 Posted March 13, 2024 Have a look at E-Bay where there are similar units on sale, but maybe not worth the effort? Personally, I would donate them to the Salvos...

Topman_Chief Posted March 14, 2024 Author Posted March 14, 2024 Thanks all. No, I won't inflict them upon an opp shop. Having recently moved, I've become a master horse-trader on FB Marketplace, selling and buying all manner of things. There's a price for everything. 1 1
Hydrology Posted March 15, 2024 Posted March 15, 2024 It will be written on the underside of the two head units what they are - if you can check or take pics I can probably help with identification of what goes with what. Pic two was a multiroom amplifier (again, pop the underside for a look at model)

Go hard I say, if the sold Bose items on eBay are anything to go by there is definitely a market for second hand Bose gear, should be well worth your while.
