Well i thought to myself, why not combine all the things i am after in a list so if anyone has any of them they can reply to me.

At the moment i am after a

1) Good DVD/CD Player a

2) Stereo Amplifier and a

3) HT Reciever

If anyone has any of this HT hardware that they are willing to sell or are thinking about getting rid of, please contact me first with details of the hardware, as i am interested in buying any of these things second hand. Don't forget to include how much you are after for them.

what kinda price range were you looking for each component?

Hi

i am looking for a range between

1)DVD/CD PLayer up to $400 (preferably as little as possible)

2) Stereo amp around $300 (i'd love a NAD or Marantz or Cambridge Audio or another highly praised one )

3) HT Reciever is not that important at the moment but around $500

If you could help me with any of these it would be greatly appreciated. Even if you find or have something which is out of my range i still may be able to buy it so please tell me.

I found a second hand NAD 3020e stereo amp for sale at Len Wallis Audio in Sydney, but i live in Melbourne.

And on LSK i found someone selling their NAD C320 stereo amp for $350 but i would prefer to get that down as much as possible so i can look more on buying a higher range CD/DVD player.

mate nad is good stuff good choice, id be looking at onkyo, marrantnz etc look in the trading post and places like that even purchasing the australian hi-fi mag might even help u... good luck mate

for ur price range you could almost go an NAD cdplayer and NAD stereo amp

the 320bee integrated amp as u mentioned and perhaps teh NAD 521 or even rotel rcd 02 (not sure on price but i know theyve dropped recently so maybe in ur range)

im not sure how the 3020e is but i know the 3020A was a legend i had one not too long ago. im pretty sure the whole 3020 range was highly regarded - i saw the teh 3020A sell on ebay for about 800 bucks not too long ago - consider that its like a 20 yr old amp!

just hang around and reali wait for a bargain - good things come to those who wait

as an example: my friend was able to get this system:

quad 11L $600,

NAD cd541i $200

Rotel ra-01 $300

alone those speakers cost $1200 RRP

so yeah if you hang in there you maybe able to get sumfing along those lines

I'll have a look for sumthing along the lines of a NAD, Rotel, Cambridge Audio, Marantz, Denon, Yamaha.

NAD- c320bee intergrated amp or Cambridge Audio 540A or 640A

NAD/Cambridge Audio or similar CD player

Now if i can find one of those cheap i will be happy.
