Timv Posted April 23, 2024 Posted April 23, 2024 (edited) Further Information: Price Drop. These were designed by Roy Allison (also responsible for many Acoustic Research speakers) and rarely come up for sale on the used market. I believe these are a genuine bargain, priced way under market value. “Allison 6 speakers have very wide dispersion and reproduce concert hall ambience very accurately. They are designed to disappear. the Allison has deep and very clean bass at least down to 40 HZ or so, because of that they do not boom, but reveal awesome bass only when it is really present in the recording.” The Allison 6 speakers have good detail and dynamics as well as great ambience and create a very large, punchy sound for bookshelf speakers. I find that they sound really nice with all the music I listen to. They are smooth, accurate and never edgy or sibilant. There is some damage to one of the front facing plastic grills but this has no effect on the sound. I have always left the grills on. Material is particle Board veneered with walnut, oiled finish. Dimensions 11.25"H x 11.25"W x 11.25"D. (Just under 29cm x 29cm x 29cm) Weight 17 lbs. ea. (just under 8kg) I can send if no local interest. I can pack but buyer will need to organise a courier.
