Kayo is not worth the money any more, price has jumped considerably to $35 / month. No tennis whatsoever either! Currently watching the United Cup tennis on FTA through my Apple TV box to my, (al's old), JVC Nx7 and quality is very impressive. OK not quite as good as Al's but I'm on the right track, until he moves it on ! Very hard to reproduce well with the constant movement! Overall Netflix is average quality wise ! Looking at Disney, pic quality is superb in comparison and often with Atmos sound vs. Multi channel down mix with Netflix and Prime.. 1

No tennis whatsoever either! agree its a rip off ! unless a sports tragic , which i can be at times but not still enough to justify.. HOWEVER ... did you have a whistle in Kayos ear or something a text popped up given we are doing Binge (following @Quark's method of cycling through streaming platforms ...the text saying we have 2 months free kayo (now just have to remember to cancel both at end of it ! ) i fired up just after lunch... and looks its good, its 4k, not hdr..4k sdr instead... good colour, good definition and they seem to love their slo-mos but the commentary ... its like the old school west indies games porting in from barbados in the 80s where am sure they were on some special ganja on something would put you to sleep and thats with such an exciting match going on in contrast.. looks like commentators seem to cycle thank goodness .. bit more pulse on the trio on at moment but likely will be switching back to 7HD live and free.. might not have the most definition in picture and have adds in the overs but far more entertaining viewing i have to say 14 hours ago, evil c said: OK not quite as good as Al's but I'm on the right track, until he moves it on ! evil c Posted December 29, 2024 Posted December 29, 2024 @betty boop lol, 2 months!!?? I only got one!!, Wife and I got a free month of Disney after Rob our son wanted to watch something and paid for it. We have been watching the Mandelorian, and Shogun on Disney and the pic / audio quality is noticeably better! Looks like another one we have to pay for, but lot cheaper than Kayo at $18/ month. Even the wife is warming to the NX7, she refused to like it initially just to spite me on making wise investments/ upgrades! 1 1

betty boop Posted December 31, 2024 Posted December 31, 2024 I tell you what … there is nothing more surreal than watching a 70 ! Year old movie on what is cutting edge latest jvc tech it’s almost pinch me stuff ! What an age we live in, that we can enjoy and appreciate in home and to this sort of level and with content going back into decades past. Likely in form we couldn’t appreciate before … amazing stuff ! 3 1
betty boop Posted January 19 Posted January 19 my NZ800 got calibrated last week by Tony from Clarity...and this has been a massive step up, can see some results there in the calibration thread... https://www.stereonet.com/forums/topic/251332-projector-tv-calibration-in-melbourne/page/5/#findComment-6440350 since then been rediscovering a few movies went back to watch again Ghost in Shell and 1917 4k uhd blu-rays...both very beautiful movies... Ghost in shell with its colours and richness and its a good test of the lot of very dark scenes it has, 1917 has massive scale and dynamics. Come up a treat on the nz800. 2

It's not just the initial explosion, but the effects through the tunnels that last forever. I tell guests to pay attention to that, but once the twin 18"'s go off they forget all about what happens afterwards! 1

What is most apparant (other than the impressive definition of facial features ) is the presentation of the colour balance. Wow AL the benefits of calibration are most evident in this screenshot.
